Ladakh- The place blessed with the most tranquil barren landscapes of Mother Nature. The array of colors that nature has to offer is something beyond our imagination and cannot be explained. It is truly Heaven on hard terrain. A holiday on the ‘roof of the world’, surrounded by majestic stone-strewn mountains, unimaginable cobalt blue skies, the chill of a glacier fed rivers, spellbinding lakes, high altitude passes, haunting chants of the monks at the centuries old monasteries… Come and explore the unspoiled paradise, Ladakh. You are sure to witness bountiful of beauty and amazing natural sceneries with breathtaking views throughout your journey.

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Upon your arrival in Leh airport, you will meet our representative/driver at the airport who will take you to your pre-booked hotel. Day is at leisure. In the evening visit Leh market & Shanti stupa. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive on the Srinagar highway and visit the hall of fame – Museum constructed by the Indian army, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. Later we experience the magnetic hill which defies the law of gravity. We stop at the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Return to Leh hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (140 Kms. / approx. 4 to 5 hours drive)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra valley in the morning, driving over the highest motored pass in the world. The exciting journey through the serpentine roads leads us to the Khardungla Pass at an awesome height of 5550 meters. We stop at the pass to admire and click some photographs of the fantastic view, before driving down into the Nubra valley. The valley is situated on an old caravan route at the confluence of the Shayok and the Nubra rivers. We drive to our fixed camp and later drive to visit the charming valley, of Deskit – the tiny capital of Nubra. The capital is marked by a single file of shops that are put up on the main road. Visit the Deskit Gompa, perched on a rocky spur above the village, with a commanding view of the entire valley. From Deskit we will drive to Hunder past an area of sand dunes and get acquainted with the famous Bactrian camels. This small population of shaggy double-humped animals, which in the old days, were used as pack animals on the Central Asian trade routes are now used as riding animals in the high deserts. Return to Camp/Guest house for overnight stay.

Day 4: Nubra Valley – Leh (140 Kms. / 5 Hrs.)

After breakfast, drive towards Leh. Upon arrival, check into your pre booked hotel. Day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 5: Leh – Pangong – Leh (140 kms. / approx. 4 to 5 hours one way)

After an early breakfast we leave for pangong lake through the Changla pass at 5486 meters. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point and over 130km in length. It is bisected by the international border between India and China. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and the environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Return to Leh for overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure from Leh

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh airport for your onward journey.

Important Information

  • Cost based on minimum 4 persons travelling together.
  • The itinerary can be altered at any point of time due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks and/or any factors beyond our control.
  • Leh and remote areas have regular power outages. Don’t expect 24hrs electricity
  • People from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Myanmar and Bhutan cannot travel to restricted areas outside Leh such as Nubra Valley, Pangong, and Tsomoriri etc. Nationals of countries other than these can travel to Ladakh provided they don’t have a Diplomatic passport.
  • If a vehicle is used for shopping, visiting markets and restaurants, then there will be extra charges
  • It is mandatory for all guests carry valid photo IDs (Passport/Driving License/Voter ID Card). PAN Card is not accepted at many places as a valid photo ID
  • Connectivity (phone as well as internet) is poor and unreliable in Ladakh. Most hotels will not have a Wi-Fi connection
  • Only vegetarian meals are served at Nubra and Pangong. Non vegetarian meals are served at Leh in Dinner.
